Thursdays are hubby and my date night. Tonight we went to Turk's in Nunica. They had a vegetarian burger and a veggie wrap. Both suitable for vegetarians, but the mushrooms and onions were sauteed in butter, so not suitable for a vegan. Bummer!!! I thought the wrap sounded good. I chose a burrito w/o cheese, sour cream, and beef. The refried beans and sauce were vegan. The sauce wasn't one my favorites, but all in all, a good vegan meal and very reasonable. $7.99. The atmosphere was very homey and pub-like, and the bathroom had a beautiful mural painted on the wall.
My spaghetti sauce turned out great last night. I did end up adding a few tablespoons of tomato paste, but it would have been fine w/o.
